In their latest newsletter the WFA have published updates regarding COVID.
'Given the amazing work of the vaccine programme, it seems that many of our players will have been vaccinated by Easter, and we can therefore look forward to resuming outdoor sport safely in the Spring.
It will come as no surprise to learn that FIWFA have decided to postpone the rescheduled 2021 World Cup again to May 2022. Whilst the UK may be gradually moving towards normality by then, there will be many nations that will not be as advanced in their vaccination programmes, and of course there are major doubts as to when the travel industry will be restored to reasonable levels.
We do however, hope to start the National Cup for 200+ clubs in the summer subject to Covid restrictions.
Once travelling is freely allowed, we can look forward to our England teams playing Italy, France, Spain, the Basque Country, Poland, Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man later this year hopefully.'
